I’m Sophia Miliziano Tinker, a Tampa-based artist and art educator who has been creating for as long as I can remember. I earned my BA in Studio Art from the University of South Florida and am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Art in Medicine at the University of Florida.

My Creative Process

My creative process is driven by color, experimentation, and emotion, with a focus on acrylic and oil painting. I love incorporating bright colors, texture, and 3D elements to bring depth and personality to my work. I find inspiration in both the human form and the natural world, which can be seen throughout my figure and floral collections.

My Impact

My figure collection is some of the work I am most proud of because it was inspired by bodies like mine that I rarely saw represented in art and media. Creating these pieces became a personal journey that helped me build confidence and appreciate the beauty found in different bodies. Art gave me a way to find and express myself, and being able to help others experience that same freedom is incredibly meaningful to me.
